For Malaysian small businesses
From daily receipts to your accountant
Claim Kira organises supporting records. It is not accounting software, an e-Invoice issuer or an LHDN filing service.
Check the receipt, not just the OCR
For a restaurant bill, check the final TOTAL after service charge, SST and rounding. A payment label such as TNG or DuitNow is not the expense category. Check the merchant, invoice date and number against the original image before saving.
For English, Malay, Chinese or mixed-language receipts, enlarge the preview and use the field OCR selector to correct readable text. Blurred, faded or angled text may still need manual entry.
Prepare a monthly handoff
Select the month and claim type, check missing details and suspected duplicates, then export a Proof Pack with an Excel summary, PDF and receipt images. Share the files through a channel agreed with your accountant.
SME owners and sole proprietors can keep purchase records together. Accountants receive exported files, not access to a shared live ledger. Ask your accountant to confirm categories and tax treatment.
Keep a recoverable backup
Use the app's backup function and store the backup outside the app, such as in a folder you choose in iCloud Drive. Deleting the app removes its local files. Restore Purchases restores paid access, not receipts.
Keep your original records as required for your business. A receipt image or Proof Pack is not a validated LHDN e-Invoice.

Frequently asked questions
Is Claim Kira free?
Yes. The free plan lets you scan 25 receipts per month with all scanning, OCR and Proof Pack export features. Claim Kira Plus removes the limit for RM8/month, and a one-time RM150 Lifetime plan is available as a launch offer for the first 6 months.
Does my receipt data go to the cloud?
No. Claim Kira is offline-first. There is no account, no server and no AI service reading your data. Every receipt image and detail is stored on your iPhone and encrypted when the phone is locked. Files leave only when you choose to export them.
Does Claim Kira help organise LHDN supporting records?
Yes. It extracts and lets you review merchant, date, total amount, category, claim type, claim status, invoice number and notes. Supplier TIN, SSM/registration number, SST and payment method are optional supporting fields.
What can I give my accountant?
The Proof Pack export bundles an Excel summary, a PDF with one page per receipt, and the original images into a single ZIP — ready to hand to your accountant or attach to an LHDN request.
Which languages does Claim Kira support?
English, Simplified Chinese (中文) and Bahasa Melayu. You can switch the whole app language instantly in Settings.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. Scanning, OCR, categorisation and export all run on-device, so Claim Kira works fully offline.
Can I correct an OCR field without retyping it?
Yes. Tap the OCR selector beside a receipt field, enlarge and move the receipt preview, then choose the exact recognised text for that field.
Does Claim Kira have iPhone Home Screen widgets?
Home Screen scanning and monthly spending widgets are in the upcoming update, currently in TestFlight. They are not yet in the public version checked on 7 September 2026.
